Meet New People - Make New Mates
Where we meet
Fortnightly Meetings have resumed at the Quality Inn Hotel/Lone Star Tavern - Cnr Markeri & Sunshine Blvd, Mermaid Waters, QLD, 4218
The meeting room is limited to 52 people. The hotel provides hand sanitiser and requests that it be used on entry. The hotel is required to maintain a register of all who enter. Their form asks for address, name, phone number and time of entry. Please arrive with enough time to fill it out on arrival and get your food order in by 11.30. We are requested to manage our own social separation: not getting too close, no hand shakes, sharing phones, queuing too closely etc. You will find meeting dates on the Calendar page.
Lots of interesting group activities happen outside of our meetings because that's what Blokes Lounge is all about - having fun and making new mates. Our motto is you can do as much as you like, or as little as you like.

Now jump forward 4 years to 2021, with a slight name change to 'Blokes Lounge' and over 120 members
Ian Begaud - 2017
"Bloke's Lounge on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia is a place for blokes to associate with other like minded guys who are now retired or have moved here, are single or just want to "get out of the house" and participate in all kinds of activities e.g. fishing, cycling, darts, cards, computers, beach walking, barbecues etc. and having meals with other guys to discuss "the World" and what is happening etc. A great place to be".
Still going strong, with many of those depicted in this video still members.
